This is getting to be old but the cowards still seem to show up on a regular basis to spew their lies, nonsense and hyperbole. Defendant: Michael R. Ryan, 5 Kwiecinski St., West Haverstraw, NY, 38 yrs. old. Charges: Aggravated DWI Date & Time: Sunday morning at 3:30 AM Details: Defendant was stopped after an officer on radar patrol on Rt. 202 observed him driving erratically on this road by swerving and continually drastically changing the speed of his vehicle. After being arrested he was given a breathalyzer where he was found to be over three times the legal limit. Jude Bonneau, Age 50, residing at 45 Parkway Trailer Court, Pomona was sentenced today, before New York State Supreme Court Justice William A. 18 Year Old Suffern Resident charged with Criminal Mischief

On March 22, 2015 at approximately 1:15pm, a Ramapo Police Officer on patrol observed a vehicle being operated on the Orchard Hill Park Baseball Field.  The officer observed damaged to the field as a result of this vehicle being operated in this manner. The officer arrested the vehicle operator, an 18 year old male from Suffern NY.  He was charged with Criminal Mischief in the fourth degree, a Class A Misdemeanor.  He is currently being held in the Town of Ramapo Police lockup.

Ramapo Police Department along with other Rockland County law enforcement agencies conducted a county wide Stop-DWI ‘Crackdown’ detail, from March 13th-March 18th. The detail was coordinated by the Rockland County Stop-DWI Office. The following arrests were made by Ramapo Police; 36 year old Mikhaylo Sheshur of Ramsey, N.J. for Driving While Intoxicated 22 year old Jessica Parker of Upper Saddle River, N.J. for Driving While Ability Impaired by drugs   Ramapo Police will be participating in additional DWI details throughout the year.

Hillcrest Service Center Goes Up in Flames

On March 19, 2015 at approximately 2:44 a.m., the Ramapo Police Department responded to 311 North Main Street, in the Hillcrest area of the Town of Ramapo for a reported structure fire. The building is known as the Hillcrest Service Center, and was found to be fully engulfed in flames upon officer’s arrival. While on scene, an officer observed that a residence located at 2 Locust Street was endangered by the encroaching flames. The officer alerted the residents to evacuate as a precaution.
